Message Thanks! I can start the car thou it sounds pretty nasty. I returned the jack and stands a couple days ago. So my new stand is a 2" pavement slab sort of, not ideal for dropping a tranny but...

I managed to get the starter down, and measured the distance to the ring gear, from the edge on tranny where the starter is mounted. To the top on the cog there is 13,5mm and to the bottom ~19mm. Measured the same way on the starter, best results would be ~12mm from bottom to mounting surface, got ~14mm on the Tip of that cog. So they are barley engaging, thats why I thought my flexplate was smaller in diameter than the flywheel I used before since it worked flawless.

Just me thinking out loud but Thank you for the effort!
